Lorsque l’on encha\u00eene une fonction u suivie d’une fonction v, on d\u00e9finit une fonction \"f\" appel\u00e9e compos\u00e9e de \"u\" par \"v\"<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

La fonction \"f\" ainsi d\u00e9finie est not\u00e9e \"u\circ v\"<\/strong>. On lit \u00ab u rond v \u00bb.<\/p>\n

Dire que \"f=u \circ v\" signifie donc que pour tout \"x\" de l’ensemble de d\u00e9finition de \"f\", on a \"f(x)=u(v(x))\".<\/p>\n

Soient \"v\" une fonction d\u00e9finie sur un intervalle \"I\" et \"u\" une fonction d\u00e9finie sur un intervalle \"J\" tel que \"v(I) \subset J\".<\/p>\n
